The in-person event will be replaced by a Virtual Summit.
July 16, 2020

FLAG (Flexo Label Advantage Group) has announced that it will postpone its Annual Meeting until April 19-21, 2022. The popular face-to-face meeting was postponed in an “abundance of caution” and to ensure the safety, comfort and confidence of FLAG members and vendor partners. The 2022 meeting, which is expected to draw over 100 members and vendors, will take place at the Hyatt Regency Bloomington/Minneapolis located close to the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN, USA, and will include a tour of FLAG member Lofton Label and Packaging. Recognizing the need for a continuous focus on education and networking for independent converters in these turbulent times, FLAG will conduct a Virtual Summit during the dates originally scheduled for the 2020 Annual Meeting: October 27-29, 2020. The Virtual Summit has been designed to educate team members with relevant industry content, build relationships through virtual round tables, share technical education with member teams, ignite member/vendor connections through a virtual trade show platform and one-on-one meetings and recognize outstanding performance by members and vendors at the final virtual Awards Reception. According to John McKay, president and founder, “Although we will greatly miss the opportunity to bring FLAG members and vendor partners together in person, our first and foremost responsibility is to ensure that all our attendees feel that they can safely travel and attend a face-to-face meeting. Although none of us has a crystal ball, we do believe that waiting until April, 2022 will provide that comfort zone. We’re excited to offer a professional and rewarding Virtual Summit to fill the gap and continue to provide high quality education, peer group meetings and recognition for our members and vendor partners.” FLAG members — with an average size of $2 million to $30 million – realize the type of benefits usually enjoyed by larger multi-site converting conglomerates. These include bottom-line savings, catastrophic recovery plans, penetrating new markets and application niches, and having access to new resources. In addition to the Annual Meeting, these benefits are delivered through a 24/7 online resource site, quarterly calls, “Lunch and Learns” and FLAG Peer Groups.
